Penn Virginia Corporation to Participate in Upcoming Investor Conferences

RADNOR, Pa.-- Penn Virginia Corporation (NYSE: PVA) announced today that it will participate in five upcoming investor conferences.

PVA will participate in the Jefferies Energy Summit in New York on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. A. James Dearlove, President and Chief Executive Officer, will present an overview of PVA's operations, including a discussion of strategy and recent activities in investor meetings. There will be no formal presentation or webcast with respect to this conference.

PVA will participate in J.P. Morgan's SMid Cap Conference 2009 in New York on Thursday, December 3, 2009. PVA's presentation time is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET.
